He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Moore Kemp and Walter Victor Kemp; his wife Ruth Marshall Kemp; his sons, Terry Wayne Kemp and Vic Kemp; and his siblings, Charlie Clarence Kemp, Jessie Lee Kemp, Stella Fowlkes and Bessie Eads.
He is survived by: his children, Leigh Ann (Chad Owen) and Dean (Donna Kemp); his sister Pansy Wimmer of Floyd; and his grandchildren, Megan Kemp, Jason, Madelyn Owen, Michelle Kemp, Vici Davis, Jesse Smith and Jenna Kemp. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
