He was predeceased by: his parents, Zora Myrtle Spangler Boothe and Archie Jackson Boothe, Sr.; his wife Aiko Ishigaki; and his sons, Roger and Robert.
He is survived by: his brother Ronald L. Boothe; his children, Michael W. Boothe and Jacqueline D. Harmon (James) of Wytheville; and his nephews, Todd Boothe (Nova), Mike Radcliffe (Debbie) and Jamie Radcliffe (Missy). He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organizations he holds dear.
