He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon James Albert, Sr. and Deaconess Shirley R. Murray; and his great grandchild Avery Murray. He is survived by: his children, Michael "Chris" (Yolanda), Philip "Sam" and Sarah "Beckie" Johnson (Malvin); his daughter-in-law Tomika; his grandchildren, Keith, James T., James R, Shomari, Maya, Shadaja, Justin, Jeremiah, Mikayla and Janiyah; his great grandchild Adynne; his brother Pastor Michael (Pastor Carretta); his uncle Rawlin Otey (Valerie); and his aunts, Clara Winston, Thelma Johnson, Doris Roberts, Irene and Betty Murray. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
