It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Hall Elkins of Pounding Mill, Virginia, born in Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Henry and Bertha Mae Turner Hall; her former husband Luther Elkins; her son Michael Wayne Elkins; her grandson Matthew Wayne McGlothlin; and her brothers, Ralph E. and Franklin D. Hall.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Elkins Lowe (Don) of Abingdon, Virginia.; her husband Mike of Pounding Mill; her stepchildren, Ray Elkins of Roanoke, Virginia and Mary Ruth Patrick (Darell) of Bowling Green, Kentucky.; her grandchildren, Josh Lowe (Tricia), Kevin McGlothlin (Victoria) and Jennifer McGlothlin; and her stepgrandchildren, Jimmy Patrick, Deana Ligon, Missy Holden, Angela Silvia and Barbara Perdue.
