She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Ferrell and Virginia Stillwell Ferrell; her husband Eugene Hammons; her son Johnny Brown; and her siblings, Rosa Rose, Deborah Stillwell and James Stillwell.
She is survived by: her daughter Gail Tatum (Jerry) of Pounding Mill, VA; her siblings, Brenda Atlas of Olympia, Washington and Manuel Stillwell of Swords Creek, VA; her grandchildren, Rebecca Brown, Travis Tatum (Kellie) and Brett Tatum (Sydnei); and her daughter Tena Brown of Richlands, VA. She is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephew.
