We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2020, at the age of 42, Katherine Johnson of Pounding Mill, Virginia, born in Pikeville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Jerry Dean Casey; her grandparents, Fern Saylor and Charlie Casey; and her uncles, Clayton Casey, Bill Saylor, Charlie Saylor and James Saylor.
She is survived by: her husband Aaron Johnson; her sons, Joshua Angelo and Nathan Casey; her mother Dorothy Hackney; her stepfather Randy Hackney of Haysi; her brother Kenny Casey (Crystal Johnson Casey); her half-siblings, Austin Casey, Thomas Aaron Casey and Madison Casey; her grandmother Elvie Casey; her close friend Alice Faye; her mother-in-law Debbie Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Tracy Johnson and Kayla Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
