He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson Ralph Vencill and May Ferrell Vencill; his brother Ralph Vencill; and his brother-in-law Clarence Wyrick. He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Wyrick Jones (Don) of Wardell, VA and Helen Custalow (Leon) of West Point, VA; his nephew Michael Vencille (Lisa) of Smyth County, VA.; and his friends, Greg Johnson, David, Tina Ascue, Debbie Crews, Danny Trent, Sandy, Debbie Vencill and Roy Amos.
