She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ira and Ethel Sawyers Joyce; her husband George William Simmons; her brother Jack Joyce; and her nephew Robert Andy Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, David Simmons (Ramona) of Pounding Mill, VA and Rebecca Simmons of Fincastle, VA; her granddaughters, Michelle Evans, Beth Simmons and Amy Simmons; and her great grandchildren, Isabel, Olivia and Scarlett. She is also survived by special friends.
