With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Sands (Portsmouth, Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on November 21, 2024 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sands and Ina Sands; and his brother Junior Sands. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Sands; his daughters, Kim Sands Butler (Tim) and Sherrie Sands Overheim (Anthony); his brothers, Bobby Sands and Roy Sands; his grandchildren, Amberly Butler, Alyssa Overheim, Timmy Butler, Colin Overheim and Tyler Butler; and his caregiver Kathy Hurff.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A reception will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at 5100 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
