He was predeceased by: his son Leslie Stafford Smith III. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Smith; his children, Matthew Smith (Laura) and Sarah Wray (David); and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Petersheim, Jennifer Roudabush, Adele Ford, Leslie Comer and Grace Wray. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
