He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Voliva Capps; his parents, Roger Holt Capps and Willie Mae King Capps; and his brothers, Frederick Merle Capps and Thomas Holt Capps.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christina, Jennifer Capps and Antonia McElhaney (Joseph); his grandchildren, Rachael, Claudia Kilgore, Rosalie and Aubrey McElhaney; his great grandchild Atlas; and his sister Nancy Ann Benson.
