With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Marie Peters of Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Alfred and Virginia Francis Thompson; her daughter Virginia Meyer; and her siblings, Barbara J. Sargalis and Buster Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Vincent Peters, Sr.; her children, April Allsbrook, Elody Tippie (Michael) and Vincent Peters, Jr. (Lauren); her siblings, Deborah Kilmartin, Denise Thompson, Bonnie Labay (David), Cheryl Thompson and Ronald Thompson (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Ricky, Nicole, Heather, Katelyn, Alyssa, Brandon, Connor, Gabrielle, Trevor, Kristy, Evelyn, Tracy, Daniel and Dakota. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Sturtevant Funeral Home (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701).
