Lynn Barry Short Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lynn Barry Short of Patrick Springs, Virginia, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Short and Edna Short Kennedy; and his sisters, Rebecca Weaver and Norma Lee Boyer. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Short; his children, Moriah Dollarhite (Jimmy Dollarhite), David Short (Brittany Short), Mitchell Wayne Tankersley, Jr. (Kim Tankersley) and Jeffrey Tankersley (Amber Tankersley); his siblings, Robert E. Short, Jr. (Rose Marie Short) and Roberta Hensley; and his brother-in-law Judge John Cook (Grace Cook). He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The family is especially grateful for Dr. Zachery Whitlow's care and guidance, as well as the doctors and nurses who cared for him as he battled the pneumonia caused from Covid-19 in Lewis Gale Hospital, in Salem, VA.
His wishes would be for friends and family to donate to their churches and charities in lieu of flowers.
