He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Vincent Donnelly and Florence Dow Donnelly. He is survived by: his wife Peg Donnelly; his children, Bobby Donnelly (Heidi Dennis), Anna Donnelly and Patricia Cornell (Michael); his grandchildren, Killian Joseph Donnelly, Patrick Barry, Lianna Templeton, Jan Cornell and Stephanie Cornell; and his siblings, Edwin Donnelly and Anna Nicosia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rev. Donnelly honor to the Central Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
