She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian Sylve and Doris Sylve (Treadway); her husband William John Nelson; her son Matthew John Nelson; and her siblings, Peggy Sylve Bilbrey and Paul Anthony Sylve, Sr..

She is survived by: her daughter Kelly Nelson Walding; her son-in-law Joel Rob Walding; her granddaughters, Savannah Taylor Walding and Avery Elizabeth Walding; her siblings, Silas Sylve, James Sylve, Nathan Sylve, Carmalita Sylve and Sally Sylve; and her cousin Team Walding. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews.
