Grace Payne Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Grace Payne of Palmyra, Virginia, born in Buckingham, Virginia. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Grace Payne to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Payne and Lou Thomas Payne (Baber); her husband Dillard Payne; her sons, George Richard Payne and Overt Dillard Payne; and her siblings, Pauline Snoddy, Kathleen Riley and George "Buddy" Payne.

She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Morris of Charlottesville; her sister Elizabeth Haden (Jim) of Richmond; and her niece Judy Simons. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery, wear a facial mask, and practice social distancing. Due to Covid-19 Regulations, there will be no formal visitation, family and friends may come by on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 12:00 p. m. until 4:00 p. m. at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home to view and pay their respects.
