Charles Arthur Martin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Arthur Martin (Newport News, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Martin and Erma Martin; his brothers, Bobby, John, Owen, Jack, Gerald and Kermit Martin; and his granddaughter Naomi Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffery Martin (Rhonda), John Martin (Lisa), Joseph Martin (Margie Veron Cruz) and Carmelita Worley (John); his grandchildren, Jonathan Angot, Alexis Martin, Matthew Martin, Coty Beals, Gabriel Martin, Skyler Salters (Jazmin), Joel Martin, Xavier Martin, Juliana Martin, Vincent Dela Cruz, Cody Martin-Hurst (Olivia), Ireland Martin-Hurst and Carleigh Martin-Hurst; and his great grandchildren, Charles Arthur, Elijah Michael Martin-Hurst and Mahina Ebron.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home (210 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to one of the following organizations: American Cancer Society, United Network for Organ Sharing, National Kidney Foundation.
