He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hall and Eva Martin; and his son David Hall II. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Hall of Meherrin, Virginia; and his children, Amanda Hall-Jones (Arnold "A. J." Jones), Kenneth Hall (Krista Ehman) and Carlene Hall-Ray (Brent Ray). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
