She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Stuart Holmes; and her sisters, Lenise Stout of Bristol and Edna Owens of Kingsport. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Holmes (Shelia) of Meadowview, Carol Henry (Pete) of Abingdon, Janie Mann (Bob) of Meadowview, Jerry Holmes and Larry Holmes of Meadowview. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; two great-great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
