He is survived by: his parent Oceana West; his wife Bonnie Alford; his children, Walter Alford, Jr. and Sherri Harper; his son-in-law Faron Harper; his grandchildren, Tyler Harper and Falon Harper; and his siblings, Sue Sischo, Barbara Faircloth and Mike Alford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 723, or to the Westville Baptist Church, 105 Main Street, both in Mathews, VA 23109.
