She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Diggs and Leone Diggs (William E. Hindman). She is survived by: her spouses, John Avis Black, II and William E. Hindman; her son John A. Black, III (Lori); her grandchildren, Catherine, Reagan and Tyler Jackson; her cousins, Shirley Snow (Billy), Nancy Revere and George C. Ripley, Jr. (Gail); and also Rachel Simmons.
