He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret H. Ward. He is survived by: his children, Carol W. Dickson of Frederick, MD., Donna L. Ward of Bethesda, MD., George T. Ward, Jr. (Cheryl) of Marshall, VA. and Robert S. Ward (Dawne) of Lorton, VA.; his brother Richard C. Ward (Sally) of St. Louis, MO.; his grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Danielle, Katherine, Kacie, Hunter, Ashley and Courtney; and his great grandchild Blair.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in George's name be made to the Marshall Baptist Church, 4121 Winchester Road, Marshall, VA 20115.
