He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Putney Wright; and his siblings, Samuel Wright and Alice Crutchfield. He is survived by: his spouse Hercule E. Ballard; his children, Karen D. Clark-Reddon (Cornell), Christopher Lawrence Clark and Jamie Armand Clark; his grandchildren, Kaelyn, Ashton, Yasmin and Jamara; his siblings, David Wright (Amy), Barbara Brown (Robert) and Sandra Franklin; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Ballard Jr. (Kathy), Myrtle Nsekela (late Constantine), Seaquett Williams (Johnnie Sr.), Michael Ballard Sr. (Joan), Jacqueline Jones (Larry), Debra Chiles (late Clifford Sr.), Kent Ballard Sr. (Linda), Robert Ballard, Dr. Gybrilla Blakes (Gary), Oddie Ballard and Craig Ballard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
