With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Powers Chavis (Lawrenceville, Virginia), who passed away on November 20, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Powers and Ruth Powers; and her daughter Jennifer Lucy. She is survived by: her husband Grady Chavis, Jr.; her children, Stephen Lucy (Tracey), Crystal Finch (Chuck), Shannon Lucy and David Hinant; her grandchildren, Victoria Kelly (Kendall), Dakoda Lucy, Alexis Finch (Chris) and Madison Finch; her great grandchild Alex Kelly; and her sisters, Doris Carter and Ann Cliborne.
