He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Donaldson and Jessie Donaldson; and his brother David Donaldson. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his children, Cary Donaldson (Marion), Sean Donaldson (Sara), Amy Bryant (Jeremy) and Emily Dunstan (Shawn); his sister Janet Moss; his grandchildren, Beth Niles (Jeremy), Jessica Donaldson, Malcolm Donaldson (Carrie), Allie, Ella Donaldson, Audrey, Brooke Bryant, Jayden, Kenadie and Jax Dunstan; and his great grandchildren, Adalae Donaldson, Myron, Aiden, Abbagail Niles, Darwin and Merida Donaldson.
