He was predeceased by: his father Bennie Gaines; his wife Geraldine Marian Gaines; and his siblings, Bennie, Shirley, Doris, Elsie and Mary. He is also survived by Grandchildren (15), Great-grandchildren (20) a host of nieces, nephews.
