He was predeceased by: his father Charlie Glover Banton Sr.; his wife Patricia "Patti" Banton; and his father-in-law Joe Neagle. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn L. Banton; his daughter Candace N. Banton (Ashley); his mother-in-law Madeline Neagle; his caregiver Julie Sanderson; his close friends, Ellis Rosenthal and David Sanderson; and also Chewie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hunton Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
