He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Blake Gartland and James Francis Gartland I. Jim; and his siblings, Michael Sheridan Gartland and Patricia Lou Gartland-Parsons. He is survived by: his close friend Cindy Baumann; his children, James F. Gartland, III (Christy) and Kimberly Keller; his nieces, Renee Gartland and Heather Hammett; and his grandchildren, Blake Gartland, Joseph Marino, Tristian Marino, Kenleigh Keller and Brice Keller.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Wounded Warriors and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
