We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2016, at the age of 96, Elizabeth Louise Allen Barksdale (Keysville, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Walker Allen and Mary Hillsman Allen; her husband Clarence Overton Barksdale, Sr.; and her sons, Clarence Overton Barksdale, Jr. and James Allen Barksdale.

She is survived by: her son William Walker Barksdale Daphne; her brother Hugh Earl Allen; and her daughter-in-law Chrissie Queensberry Barksdale. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Friendship Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
