She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Russell, Sr. and Anna Covington Russell; and her brothers, Harold Russell and Clarence Russell. She is survived by: her husband Julian "Pete" Hughes, Jr.; her children, Wendy Hughes Scruggs and Brian K. Hughes (Gretchen); her grandchildren, Mary A. Scruggs, Holden B. Hughes, Harrison K. Hughes and Hadley A. Coffey; and her siblings, Charlie Russell, Jr. (Anita), Roy Russell (Shirley) and Shirley Hopkins. She is also survived by her family and friends.
