He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jr. Rogers and Eula Louise Rogers; and his siblings, Mable L. Robertson and Thomas Rogers. He is survived by: his siblings, Jerlene Robertson of Bridgeport, CT, Rebecca, Betty Rogers of Chase City, VA, Shirley Rogers, Brenda Dabney of Richmond, VA, Floyd and Clarence Rogers of Chase City, VA. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins.
