He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Baumgardner and Ruth Baumgardner; and his brother Ronnie Baumgardner. He is survived by: his wife Diane Baumgardner (Williams); his children, Sonya Baumgardner of Rose Hill, Regina Leddington (Chuck) of London, Kentucky, Doug Baumgardner (Kerry) of Willowick and Derek Baumgardner of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; his grandsons, Kane Baumgardner and Seth Leddington; and his siblings, Betty Collins of Rose Hill, Lillian Sharpe of Rose Hill, Hazel Blair (Jay) of Jonesville, James "Buddy" Baumgardner of Telford, Tennessee and Roger "Peanut" Baumgardner (Deborah) of DeKalb, Texas..
Due to covid-19 state regulations, those attending the visitation and funeral are asked to wear masks/facial covering.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Sam to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
