He is survived by: his wife Janet Thornton; his children, Deanie Scott (Wayne Casey) of Jonesville, VA and Oscar Scott (Cindy) of Salem; his siblings, Fred, Melvin, William, John David Scott, Vinnie Hinkle, Jerelene Dias and Linda Parks; and his grandchildren, Chasity Childress, Justina Blackburn, Jarvis Lashbrook, Kenneth Scott and Kaden Scott.
