He was predeceased by: his parents, Benton Marcum and Bonnie Marcum (Ayers); his sons, Markley Charles Marcum and Mitchell Clark Marcum; his parent-in-law Walter; his brother Maurice Marcum; and his siblings-in-law, Rondle Garrett, Junior Garrett and Lois McNiel.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Garrett Marcum; his daughter Erin Garrett (Jason) of Summerville, SC; his grandson Jackson Garrett; his daughter-in-law Doreen Marcum of Luggoff, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Marcum of Boone, NC, Betty Mullins of Stickleyville, VA, Linda Neeley (Bill) of Jonesville and Jack Garrett (Brenda) of Pennington Gap, VA. He is also survived by caregiver, Donna Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, special cousins, extended family members and a host of friends.
