He is survived by: his parents, John William Rowland and Nannie Elizabeth Eanes Rowland; his wife Jean Mitchell Rowland; his children, Gary Rowland (Robin) of Rustburg and Shelby Crist (Warren) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Carrington Crawford (Joni), Dara Brown (Brandon), Holly Capps (Tom) and Tabitha Childress (Michael); his sister Elsie Myers (Junior) of Keysville; and his sister-in-law Sue Blackstock of Altavista.
