He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Helton and Noreen Dye Helton; and his brother Danny Helton. He is survived by: his wife Joann Helton; his daughter Lisa Grindstaff of Gray, Tennessee; and his siblings, Clarence Helton, Darrell Helton, Colene Smith (Jerry), Christine Martin (Bill), Patricia Helton, Gaynell Helton and Jimmy Helton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
