He was predeceased by: his parents, Granville Perkins and Rachel Hale Perkins Jackson; his wife Gaylena Perkins; his stepfather Thomas Jackson; and his siblings, Baxter Perkins, Geffery Perkins, Avery Perkins, Gertie Perkins and Ruby Perkins.
He is survived by: his son Ernie Perkins (Nancy) of Honaker; his granddaughters, Angela Teffeteller (Rick) of Williamston and Delores Stilwell (Tony) of Statesville; his great grandchildren, Marshall Teffeteller, Emily Brown and Noah Teffeteller; and his great great grandchildren, Remington James, Grayson James and Waylon Lance. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
