He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Ann Sargent Helbert; his stepfather Larry Junior Helbert; his grandparents, Clarence and Bessie Sargent; and his nephew Christopher Alexander Bowman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ricky Sargent and Jennifer Bowman (Rufus) of Birchleaf, Virginia; his aunts and uncles, Lucille, Gene Reynolds and Brenda Johnson; and his cousin Larry Robinson (Sandy). He is also survived by several cousins and many special friends.
