He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sanders and Flarrie Mae Gunter Myers; and his sister Eva Harmon. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Melton, Jettie Robinson, Mae Lineberry, Jean Edwards, Cova Myers and Walter Myers; and his children, Melvin J. (Lorrie Myers), Michael R. (Vicki Myers), Melissa Myers Hiatt (Johnny), Melody M. Surratt (Gary) and Misty Banks (Alan). He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
