She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Lyon and Virginia Iroler Lyon; her husband Boddie Melton; and her siblings, Maxine Utt, Freeda Beamer, W. C., Earl and Donald Lyon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Frost (Ubert) of Greensboro, NC and Kathryn Fariss (Greg) of Hillsville; her grandchildren, Kevin Frost (Angela), Emily Frost, Kellie Worrell (Alan) and Jenna Carpisassi (Joe); and her great grandchildren, Sydney Frost, Virginia Worrell, Parker Frost, Michael Worrell, Bode Carpisassi and Luca Carpisassi.
