With heavy hearts, we announce the death of June Ward Akers of Hillsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Walter Clarence; her husband Glenn Howard Akers; her son William Phipps; her sister Barbara Shepherd; and her grandson Michael Hudson.

She is survived by: her children, Tommy Everhart (Tina), Shannon Phipps, Sandi Brinegar (Glenn) and Debbie Gravley (Jimmy); and her brother Carroll Ward (Nancy). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
