He was predeceased by: his parents, Loman Staples and Frieda Martin Staples; and his brothers, Anthony Staples and Robert Staples. He is survived by: his wife Donella Staples; his sons, Dave Staples (Beth) and Dayne Staples (Wendy); his grandchildren, Sean Staples, Madison, Emma and Riley Staples; his daughter-in-law Sheena Staples; and his brothers, Lane Staples (Linda) and Chris Staples. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
