He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay Ayers Painter; his sons, David (Lynette Painter) and Robbie (Chelsea Painter); his grandchildren, DJ (Cheyenne Painter), Heidi Painter, Hadley Painter, Hollin Painter, Jesse (Amanda Hamm) and Kimmie Hamm; his great grandchildren, Lexi, Maverick, Luca and Ember; his sister Sharon; his brother-in-law Tommy Shepherd; and his aunt Ilene Bolt.
