She was predeceased by: her father Herbert Lee Riddle; and her siblings, Mary Ann Marx, Curtis Riddle, Freeman Riddle, Lois Taylor and Herbert Riddle.
She is survived by: her husband S. Lawrence Childs, Jr.; her siblings, Linda King (Marshall), Arthur Riddle and Janice Sanders; her children, Wanda Childs and Greg Childs (Heather); and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Ellis, Zachary Ellis, Benjamin Ellis, Luke Childs (Caroline), Nick Childs (Abby), Naomi Childs, Daniel Childs, Joshua Childs and Henry Childs.
Donations can be given to World Hunger through First Baptist Church, Hillsville.
