It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Noble (Burner) Southerly of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Sharon Noble departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sharon Noble may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sharon Noble leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert Burner Sr. and Elsapha Amanda Burner (Noble); and her brother James Gilbert Burner II. She is survived by: her son James Christopher Southerly (Kimberly) of Wilmington, NC; her sister Lila Burner Housden of Cross Keys; her grandsons, William Southerly and Nicholas Southerly (Taylor); her great grandchild Atlas Southerly; her nieces, Melissa Bradley and Kathryn Corder; and her nephew James Housden.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to SPCA of choice.
