We are sad to announce that on May 25, 2024, at the age of 77, Sammy Francis of Gretna, Virginia, born in Halifax, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Sammy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Sammy has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Francis, Sr. and Onie Pierce Francis; and his siblings, Donnie Francis and Rosa Prather. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Francis; and his children, Steve Francis (Rhonda) of Gretna, Chris Francis (Marcia) of Chatham, Andy Francis (Rhonda) of Maryland, Connie Hogan of Gretna, Barbara Neal (Terry) of Gretna and Susan Hall (Matt) of Gretna. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
