With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Shelton of Gretna, Virginia, who passed away on March 19, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenza McKinley Shelton and Snowy Hammock Shelton; and his brothers, Clarence Shelton, L. M. Shelton, Jr., Edgar Lee Shelton, Harvey Shelton, Elder Melvin Shelton, Sr. and Primitive Baptist.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Pickral Shelton; his children, Raymond Jack Shelton, Jr. (Ellen) of Chatham, Ronald Jeffrey Shelton (Beth) of Gretna, Ralph Jonathan Shelton of Virginia Beach, Rory Jason Shelton (Tobie) of Lynch Station and Stephanie S. Singleton (Rodney) of Hurt; his siblings, Harry Shelton of Rustburg, Frances Keith of Moneta, Geraldine Agioni (Bart) of Danville, Ella Mae Roach of Gretna and Jeannette Mullins of Gretna; his grandchildren, Dana Yeatts (Donnie), Kristina Cartrette (Bryce), Casey Ryan Shelton, Cara Robinson (Daniel), Jodie Shelton (Cody), Courtney Nichole Hines, Cailyn LeeAnn Singleton, Jase Addison Shelton, Korie Paige Shelton, Jessa Elizabeth Shelton, Camdyn Ryan Singleton, Tristan Toler (Mariah) and Alex McCulloch (Rebekah); and his great grandchildren, Arianna, Abigail, Isaac, Caleb, Kennon, Joshua, Bayden, Ryler, Brendon, Bently, Brayln, Brianna, Baylee and Harper Jo. He is also survived by his sons and grandsons, and he doted on his daughter and granddaughters.
