She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Hunter McHaney; her parents, Samuel Pinkney Talley and Ida Lowery Talley; her brothers, William, Samuel, Preston and Donald Talley; and her sons-in-law, George Owen and Jeff Bates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Brown (Barry) of Gladys, Bonnie McHaney of Lynchburg and Betsy Layne (Ray) of Nathalie; her grandchildren, Jamie Owen, Derek McCann, Colton McHaney, Ashley McHaney and Amy Grubbs; and her siblings, Earl W. Talley and Edna T. Pugh of Lynchburg. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
