He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Patton Henderson and Bonnie McClanahan Henderson; and his sister Patricia Henderson Pafford (Cecil). He is survived by: his siblings, Kathy Henderson Cook (Gary) of Abingdon, Judy Henderson Turnmire of Glade Spring and Joseph Patton Henderson (Lisa) of Glade Spring; his nieces and nephews, Tracey Cook, Ashley Dory (Roy), Emily Bogaev (David), Terry, Turnmire, Jr. and Grayson Henderson; and his great-nephews, Ewan and Colin Dory.
