He was predeceased by: his parents, George Holmes and Virginia Holmes; his sister Nancy "Betty" Hall (Tom); his siblings-in-law, James C. Brickey and Carol Holmes; and his niece Elizabeth Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Holmes; his son Scott Holmes (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Abby and Jack Holmes; and his siblings, Ralph Holmes (Barbara), Kyle Holmes (Judy), Marvin Holmes, Patricia Kestner (Melvin) and Lois Brickey.
